Where has the time gone??

I can’t get over how much time has passed since I posted to my own blog. I’ve been on others 🙂 and I post to twitter and Facebook all the time. Sometimes I forget their not all linked…

For the last few months, I have been dealing with medical issues that have considerably limited my ability to get anything done. That includes writing. (And housework, errands, reading, etc.) (I know for those that follow me on Facebook you have been reading about this since Jan.)

But I am here to post that I am finally back to normal (and as healthy as I tend to get) and I’m BACK!!!!  No more high blood pressure headaches, complete bedrest, no more back issues… YEAH! I’m learning to become an insulin diabetic and watching my diet much better than I had been. So, it’s been a long haul, but I see improvements and so do my doctors.

During the fall, I completly started rewriting book 2 of Trinity’s adventures and I’m currently back into writing it. I’m sketching out book 3 as the end of the trilogy (and making sure that all the hints are in book 1 and 2). I’m a relative newbie at this so planning it out, figuringout what I need to add to book 2 for book 3 makes it a slow go, but a faster release time once finished. It’s so nice to finally be able to concentrate! I appreciate all the messages from readers that have read The Guardian of Bastet and are awaiting my next book. I’m doing my best to GET IT DONE and I appreciate your patience.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to you all for the support you’ve shown me in the last few months. Now… ON TO WORK!

status update

Well…I’m being a bad parent today. I am writing while I let the kids stay in their pajamas, eat what they want and watch tv or play Minecraft while I do. Now that I have finally completely restarted my manuscript, it is going well and flowing. I haven’t done the synopsis yet, I admit I have a horrible time trying to make a synopsis before I’ve written the manuscript, but I’m going to give it another try next week. Until then, I’m getting as much of the story out of my head and into the computer.  I am trying to stop thinking of book 2 as a bridge to book 3 and more of an independent story. It’s all about getting out of my own way.

I really want to make sure book 2 and 3 manuscripts are complete before next years RWA. I am really looking forward to attending. So I’ve made that my prize for finishing both 🙂 Not to mention, it’s been uplifting to hear from readers about how much they liked The Guardian of Bastet and want more. I don’t want to disappoint them. Or myself. But I have to admit, writing with two children and a one year old dog in the house during the summer is extremely tough. I’m doing my best and hope everyone can be patient. This past year has been a difficult one, and I am working hard to catch up on everything.

Back to work….
